Eiken Sato now employed with Marcus Ehning

Young Japanese showjumper Eiken Sato, aged 24, is newly employed as rider at the barn of Marcus Ehning. The surprising winner of the Rolex Worldcup-qualifier in Mechelen (pictured) up to now was rider in the barn of Belgian Axel Verlooy, together with Harrie Smolders.

The Japanese, who represented his home country already at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hongkong, takes with him to Borken his four-legged partner of success Cartoon (a 12-year old stallion from Zangersheide). However, one will see if Sato will get a new sponsor - most probably his current sponsor, the Belgian real estate agents B & V-Projects, will end the sponsorship after Sato’s move to Germany.
